Waterford Productions is a television and video production
company located in Tallahassee, Florida. Established in 1998, Waterford
provides videography services and contract news and sports coverage
in the Sunshine State. By using the latest in digital video technology,
Waterford Productions offers its clients high-end products that
they can use for broadcast, the internet, computer-based viewing
or just for personal enjoyment. In 2000, Waterford Productions was
nominated for the Tallahassee
Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Excellence Award for Start-Up
Business of the Year. Waterford Productions is a member of the Tallahassee
Society of Association Executives, the Florida
Attractions Association, the Wedding
and Event Videographers Association and the National
Court Reporters Association.
Maureen
Walsh was born in New York City and raised in Inverness, Florida.
She graduated from Florida State University in 1983, earning an
honors degree in Communication and graduating magna cum laude. Before
graduation, Maureen received a Journalism Fellowship to the Modern
Media Institute (now the prestigious Poynter Institute) and two
Scripps-Howard Journalism Scholarships. Maureen spent the next eight
years working as a reporter and then news anchor at local television
stations in Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia before returning
to Florida State to attend graduate school. She won a graduate fellowship
in Russian and East European Area Studies and earned her Master's
in 1995.
While in graduate school, Maureen began working freelance for various
national, state and local news and broadcast organizations. She
covered the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and traveled to Acapulco
to produce several nationally syndicated programs for WFSU-TV. Maureen
has produced a number of documentaries for Florida Crossroads, a
weekly series that airs on public television stations around the
state. From 1993 to 1999, Maureen covered the state legislature,
first for Florida Public Television and then for the Florida Channel.
In 1999, she co-anchored Capitol Update, a nightly news program
that airs during the legislative session. Since 1999, Maureen has
covered the state capital and the legislature for Bay
News 9, Time-Warner’s 24 hour news station in Tampa.
In 1998, Maureen began her own television production company, Waterford
Productions. The company has grown rapidly, providing video services
to individuals, groups and television stations. During the 2000
presidential recount, Maureen provided extensive, up-to-the minute
news coverage to five television stations, from New York City to
Austin, Texas and down to Tampa. Maureen did as many as 40 live
shots a day and spearheaded the field coverage for all five stations.
Eileen Walsh comes to Waterford Productions after an extensive and successful career in the hospitality industry. Eileen spent 17 years with the Marriott International specializing in hotel sales, marketing and guest services.
Eileen was born in New York City and raised in Inverness, Florida. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University in 1982, Eileen got her start working as a front desk clerk at the Westshore Marriott in Tampa , Florida and quickly worked her way up into hotel management with Marriott International.
Eileen spent two years as front desk manager at the Tampa Airport Marriott and the Miami Airport Marriott hotels before moving on to the Marriott Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, North Carolina as Director of Reservation Sales.
While in Raleigh, Eileen cross trained in group and catering sales and became a Senior Sales and Catering manager for two years. Eileen handled the corporate market, working with such corporations as IBM, Glaxo, SAS Institute and Northern Telecom.
In 1994, Eileen helped open the Williamsburg Marriott in Williamsburg, Virginia as Director of Sales. With over 60,000 square feet of meeting space, the Williamsburg Marriott is the largest conference site in Eastern Virginia. Her efforts in the state and regional association markets helped solidify the Williamsburg Marriott as one of Virginia’s top convention hotels. Eileen and her sales team were honored by Marriott as the “Most Outstanding Sales Team” in 1996 and 1998 for the Mid - Atlantic region.
Eileen moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1999 to become the Director of Sales, Marketing and Event Management for the 375 room Nashville Airport Marriott. Eileen was also responsible for the sales and marketing of several other Marriott brand hotels in the Airport and Opryland area, including Courtyard, Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn and Springhill Suites.
In 2000, Eileen left Marriott International and moved back to Tallahassee to join Waterford Productions as Director of Sales and Marketing. Since then, she has worked with her sister, Maureen Walsh, to establish Waterford Productions, as one of Tallahassee ’s premiere video production companies focusing on meeting customer needs, personalized service and unsurpassed quality.
